Card Puzzles
When you play bridge, you have 13 cards in each of the four hands represented by the compass points, but sometimes we will focus only on the cards each player holds in one suit. North/South play as a partnership against East/West as the other partnership. If you have not played trick-taking games before, watch this little video before tackling the puzzles.
In all of the puzzles below, the North hand is what we call ‘the dummy’ - all players can see that hand as well as their own hand. South is playing a special role which means they play from both their hand and the dummy in turn.
