Responding to 1NT Openings: Introduction

Opening 1NT is, perhaps, the simplest bid of all to learn about. Responding to 1NT openings, though, can seem complicated at first because it involves the use of artificial bids. The system is designed to produce the best outcomes but it takes a bit of getting used to. Before we move on to how you should bid the various hand types after your partner’s 1NT opening, we would like you to watch this introductory video. There is no quiz on this, and no practice hands.
